For many people, having a postal address is something they never have to think about. But for veterans and emergency services personnel facing homelessness or severe hardship, not having a fixed address can become a major barrier to accessing benefits, healthcare, employment, housing and other essential services.

 

That’s where Squaddie Box CIC is making a real difference.

 

Built by veterans, for veterans and former blue light personnel, Squaddie Box provides secure personal mailboxes that give individuals a recognised address, helping them reconnect with vital services and begin rebuilding their lives. But the support doesn’t stop there. The organisation also offers guidance, signposting, training opportunities, peer support and connections to other charities and agencies, ensuring that those who have served our country and communities are never left behind.  

 

The mission is simple yet powerful: restore dignity, create stability and provide hope. A secure mailbox may seem like a small thing, but it can be the first crucial step towards securing accommodation, finding employment, accessing healthcare and regaining independence.

 

As Squaddie Box continues to expand across the UK, it is working with partners, supporters and local communities to install more secure mailboxes, ensuring that more veterans and emergency services personnel can access the help they deserve.
